Advantages Of Hair Extensions
Hair Extensions ~ Have you ever asked yourself why some celebrities face the cameras with their bouncing curls and locks? How do they do it? The answer – hair extensions.
Yes, those thick hair extensions added to their hair gives them the volume and texture that makes them look like goddesses of beauty.
Well, the good news is that, we, ordinary mortals can attain that celebrity-like hair because hair extensions are now within reach. We don’t need to be a star or a celebrity. All we need to do is look for a good salon to do the work for us. There are several methods of hair extensions to suit everyone’s needs and budget.
The Methods
First, there is the clip on attachment hair extensions. This is easy on the budget and easy to manage. Anyone can learn to apply this on himself/herself. These come in a variety of colors and lengths. They can come as cute spiral curls or thick waves. Fabulous long and silky hair like those that belong to Lindsay Lohan and Madonna can now be yours through these thick hair extensions.
There are also hair weaves that can be bonded or sewn in your hair and attached at the hairline. This gives your total hair an illusion of thickness.
Microbead hair extensions are time consuming and a bit pricey, but it has its own advantage. It uses no heat nor glue nor other chemical substance that can damage the hair. It simply uses tiny rings or beads wherein strands of your own hair are looped inside it together with the hair extension.
The Benefits
Just as there are several methods of hair extensions, so are there several benefits that we gain from hair extensions. Going to a salon and asking them to do a hair extension on you is a matter of choice on your part. That is why the finished product almost always, if correctly done, gives a feeling of satisfaction. One may also regard it as a reward for herself, because hair extensions are always meant to beautify. And feeling more beautiful, more feminine, and sexier, imagine the tremendous boost of self-confidence one can derive from it. With that surge of self-confidence comes a change in your social life. Surely your transformed image will make life more exciting!
Other Benefits
- Hair extensions can also be used to conceal baldness, hair loss, and thinning hair. Some do not like to put on a whole headful of wig. Hair extensions are wonderful options.
- Split hair and damaged hair are concealed with hair extensions.
- If ever you want a change of color or cut, but not sure of your decision, hair extension is a nice solution. Its temporariness is an advantage in itself.
- One day short hair, the next day long. Instant lengths make waiting for hair to grow unnecessary.
- Your natural hair is preserved and protected from too much dyeing and styling, because the hair extensions take the beating.
- Hair extensions are reversible. You can revert to your old style if you want to. The beads and microlinks attached are reusable.

Hi CutieDoc5,Since my last post I’ve got things under a bit more cnotrol I have been straightening them to smooth them out and it is working out so much better. I find that because my natural hair is so damn short it’s not curling in with my extension and it seems to make them knotty so until my own hair grows out a bit I’ll keep them straight (unless I go see my hairdresser and she curls them for me, sheseems to have a magic touch!). Also air drying my hair has not been my friend either they just are hot mess if I do that My natural hair does’t blend in with the extensions if you know what I mean.I have also been deep conditioning my hair with moroccan oil treatment which is amazing!Just when things you were looking good though I slept like a tornado the other night and the whole right side of my head has matted into a solid messy mass. I have tried untangling it myself but I lost a few extensions trying and go no where with the matting. Looks like I will have to go back to the hairdresser again!
I brush and braid my hair every night to avoid this problem but I guess I must of been having crazy dreams or something haha.I am so confused as to why I am having so much trouble though cause my friend has the exact same extensions and hers are stunning (naturally dried, curled or straightened!) but her natural hair nice and thick and beautiful too Anyways, thank you so much for your advice! I am definitely going to look into some of those ideas you mentioned!!! And fingers crossed my matted hair can be saved
